Jaydn Anderson was back with a vengeance in Saturday’s playoff game against Lake Mills, scoring 22 points to help lift St. Ansgar to the win, 59-55.

The junior guard sat out a big chunk of the season with an injury, but gave the Saints a much needed boost in the second half, where she scored 19 points and added 4 steals and 11 rebounds.

“We werent really doing what we wanted to be doing in the first half,” Head Coach Brian Birkedal said, “But then we started clicking.”

The Bulldogs held a 7 point lead going into the 4th and led by as many as 10 points in the second half, but the Saints were able to claw their way back.

Anderson hit some clutch free throws to take the lead back with 3:18 left, and the Saints turned up the pressure on defense, forcing Lake Mills into 14 turnovers.

Elizabeth Jenkins added 15 points and 4 blocks, and made some nice passes to set up her teammates.
