A benefit was held at the Carpenter Community Center last Saturday to help raise money for Tucker Fossey, son of Bryan and Cassie and brother of Cole, who has been battling health problems since his birth in April.

Brent Medlin, one of the organizers of the benefit, said it was “just amazing how people donated things and wanted to come together.”

The benefit included many different activities, such as a silent auction, for which people donated over 150+ items, live auction, bake sale, as well as a car and bike sale. There was also a pulled pork dinner for attendees.

“It’s a lot of good people helping out a really nice family,” Medlin said.

Tucker was born premature and spent an extended time in the neonatal intensive care unit at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, during which time both parents were forced to take time off work.

If you could not attend the benefit, donations can be made to St. Ansgar State Bank.
